Back to full frame!

Been 5 years since I last took a picture with my full frame F100 film camera. Now, 5 years later, I finally have my first full frame DSLR – a Nikon D700. Just got it a few days ago along with the new Nikon 70-200 VR II lens. The Nikon D700 is exceptional in low light but today I went downstairs and took some HDRs & Macro images with the new camera. Here are some of the results -

In the Garden

Got the mood to take some photos so I went down to the garden and took the lovely Sigma 70mm Macro EX. First two images are HDR images.

Weekend at the North!

Hi All! A couple of weeks ago Miri and I had the chance to take a short weekend vacation to the north of Israel. We started the trip at a Romanian restaurant in Haifa called “The Beer Spring” and the food was very good, especially the appetizers! Sitting in the restaurant I saw the fellow below and he really captured my attention…

After the restaurant we went to see a movie (Sherlok Holmes) and right after we drove to our Tzimmer (B&B) in Maale Gamla. We were lucky and the weather was great! The next day, I woke up and started investigating our garden which had plenty of flowers, bees and butterflies and luckily I had my Sigma 70mm macro with me…

Before heading back home on Saturday, we stopped by the Hula Valley to see some birds… but we saw a lot! :)

We came at an excellent time when they feed the birds and we were right in the middle of tens of thousands while they ate!

Till next time!
