Beautiful Nazareth
Yesterday, for the first time, I walked down the streets of Nazareth along with friends from work. It was a great experience and Nazareth is a beautiful city with lots of photographic gems – from the holy places to the colorful streets. Now it a great time to go photograph as Nazareth is getting ready for Christmas!
I used the D700 + 85mm F1.4G and the Fuji X100 (which proved to be very useful when discretion was needed… :)
Spotfinder.co.il and Beyond!
Didn’t write any posts for a while since I was working on a new website with my wife for her undergraduate degree final project. The site, which is in Hebrew, is the first social website for sharing photography spots in Israel easily and for free. You can add new spots, edit existing ones (like in wiki), upload photos, write comments and more.
If you know Hebrew, jump over and give us a visit at www.spotfinder.co.il! Let me know what you think :)
I was also happy to hear that one of my photos was selected for 1x.com yearly book titled “Beyond“. If you are not familiar with 1x.com, its about time that you get! It’s is the best online gallery on the web showcasing the best of the best. So obviously, it is a big honor :)
I’ll finish the post with a few recent pictures of Itay, who is already 1 year and 7 month old. Images taken with the D700 + 24mm F1.4G and 85mm F1.4G
Friday at Mahane Yehuda Market
Friday was the second time I went to Mahane Yehuda market. Same as the last time, it is an excellent spot to take pictures since it is wide, interesting and friendly. Looking forward to go there yet again!
I used my D700 + 85mm F1.4G and the Fuji X100
NYC with the X100
Just got back from from a business trip followed by a few days vacation in NYC with Sivan and Elad, which was great (Thanks S&E for your wonderful hospitality!).
Remember this post? Well… I got myself the new Fuji X100 and I love it! I will update more soon as I get to shoot with it more but for the meantime, here are some photos from NYC which were taken with the X100 -
Jaffa Flea Market
Yesterday I went to take some photos at the Jaffa Flea Market as part of a Galitz Photography Club session lead by Oded Wagenstein. We started at 13:30 and it was crazy hot and the light was very difficult to work with but it was still nice. The best part was the Shakshouka we ate at a café called “Moroccan Nights” which is right next to the market. We ate the Shakshouka while listening to live karaoke made by extremely untalented guests of the café…
In the flea market, which is there from the 19th century, you can find both used and new items but the used ones are the most interesting and unique. The market is open all year round!
I used my D700, 24mm F1.4G and 85mm F1.4G. The images by the sea were taken right next to the clock tower in Jaffa.
